In the field of the Amphitheater of the archeological site of Pompeii it was built a pyramid to accommodate the restored casts of the victim's bodies of the eruption. The pyramidal shape remind the Volcano that buried Pompeii with his explosion, but also it refers to the discovery of the Temple of Isis in Pompeii, one of the first buildings to have been found and that helped to spread the Egyptian style in Europe even before the Napoleonic campaigns. The Pyramid was made entirely of wood, and once inside on the walls you can find many photographs and casts illuminated by a diffuse light. The amphitheater of Pompeii was built by duoviri Q.Valgus and M. Porcius most likely between the 80 and 70 BC. This amphitheater with a capacity of 20000 spectators is one of the oldest and has an excellent condition. It was intended for gladiatorial combat.
